UG Scholarship Program 2019 - Applications

Kashmir Education Initiative (KEI ®), a non-profit, non-political charitable educational organization is inviting applications for scholarships from students, who are residents of Kashmir province, and have secured admission in academic session 2019 through OPEN-MERIT in MBBS, BDS, B.V.Sc, Engineering and Agriculture professional Degree courses in any of the following Universities/colleges: Government Medical College, SKIMS Medical College, Government Dental College, NIT Srinagar, University of Kashmir (B.Tech), SK University of Agricultural science and Technology-K (undergraduate courses)  and Islamic University of Science and Technology (B.Tech). The scholarship will offer an annual financial aid for an initial period of one year. In addition to the financial aid, the students will be offered mentorship and career guidance. 

Eligibility Criteria: 

  • Must have secured more than 60% marks in 10th and 12th class. 

  • Must be in the Ist Sem/year in any of the above institutions.

  • Must have sought admission based on the results of competitive examinations of 2019.

  • Total annual household income should not exceed INR 3,00,000/- (KEI shall verify this information using multiple sources, so please be accurate). Students furnishing wrong information and availing our scholarship will face disqualification and disciplinary action. 

  • Students receiving financial aid/ scholarships from any other source (government or private) shall disclose the source of existing scholarship on their application forms. If they accept our scholarship, they will have to renounce the other scholarship and vice versa.

Collection and Submission of Applications:

  • Application forms can be submitted online on our website www.kashmirei.org/blog. 

  • Print the email received from Google Forms, affix latest passport size photograph, below mentioned supporting documents and submit the same either by hand or by speed post on our office address. 

Documents to be submitted:

  • Self Attested copies of marks certificates of Classes 10th and 12th.

  • Self Attested copy of All India rank/state rank obtained in JEE/NEET/CET/UET.

  • Admission slip of the current institute with rank  in the entrance tests.

  • Proof of household income (as shown in the application form).

Post Graduate Scholarship - Applications are being accepted now

Kashmir Education Initiative (KEI ®), a non-profit, non-political charitable educational organization is inviting applications from students currently registered in any of the following Universities/ Institutes:

  • University of Kashmir, Central University of Kashmir, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology, Islamic University of Science and Technology and NIT Srinagar.

The scholarship will offer an annual financial aid of Rs 20,000/- for an initial period of one year.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must have secured more than 60% marks in all Board and University examinations. Students in the 1st semester only (Kashmir University) and in 1st or 2nd semester only (in Central University, SKUAST and IUST) of their post-graduate courses (M.A/ M.Sc/ M.Com/ M.Tech), are eligible to apply. Students in various integrated courses (BBA-MBA, BCA-MCA, LLB-LLM etc) must be in the post-graduate part of their respective courses (7th semester onwards).

  • Total annual household income should not exceed INR 3,00,000 (KEI shall verify this information using multiple sources, so please be accurate). Students furnishing wrong information and availing our scholarship will face disqualification and disciplinary action. Students receiving financial aid/ scholarships from any other source (government or private) are not eligible.

New Social Awareness Program (SAP) launched

KEI’s Social Awareness Program (SAP) is being initiated with the aim to encourage the youth of Kashmir to take initiative in ‘being the change they want to see’ at their local/community level.

It seeks to promote a sense of empowerment, leadership, community ownership and development among the youth by developing and popularizing the idea of ‘My Kashmir, My Community, My Initiative’. 

The Program invites students/scholars to create project plans and submit the same to KEI by 30th July, 2018.

TSY PCB and PCM results published

Transition Year Support Program (TSY) is to Provide Immediate assistance to existing KEI high -school scholars towards their pre-professional entrance examination coaching.

This ensures continuous support to scholars as crucial juncture, immediately after their term with KEI High School Program is over.This year we conducted an exam for 100 scholars among them we selected 10 scholars for TYS Scholarship.The selected scholars will be awarded INR 24000/ towards all their coaching expenses.

HSSP Scholarship Program 2018

Kashmir Education Initiative (KEI) USA in collaboration with Iqbal Memorial Trust (IMT) invites applications for scholarships from meritorious students presently studying in class 9th. The scholarships will be granted purely on the basis of Merit cum Means. After scrutiny of the applications, KEI may conduct an aptitude test of the shortlisted candidates.
