Access to STEM (A2STEM) at a Glance
- Inspire Kashmiri children and youth to adopt, learn, build, innovate and excel in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) and other related domains.
- Provide children and youth of Kashmir a chance to learn and work with software and hardware technology and hands-on training to understand what, how and why aspects of STEM.
- Provide STEM related courses Free-of Cost to all Kashmiri students from High School to Post Graduate, irrespective of their background in IT skills.
- Provide courses from Foundation level to Advanced in various STEM related courses; at Techlabs offline as well as online.
- Foster curiosity, creativity, entrepreneurship, and innovation in young minds and inculcate skills such as computing, problem solving, computational thinking, and out-of-the-box thinking.
- Provide inviting and collaborative workspaces and platforms equipped with state-of-the art technologies like 3D printers, robotics, electronics equipment, etc. to enable students to explore, innovate, and solve local and global community problems using emerging technologies.

A2STEM Vision
Every population center in Kashmir has a Technology Lab/Community STEM Learning Center to empower, enable, and inspire Kashmiri children and youth to become meaningful and contributing citizens in the ever-advancing technology age. These mentees will become a critical component of KEI’s STEM Initiative.
A2STEM Mission
We will provide easy access to STEM resources including devices, connectivity, labs, materials, technology skills and training, and mentoring to Kashmiri children and youth. Our team aims at popularizing STEM education in Kashmir, helping Kashmiri students become STEM-aware, STEM-educated, and self-sufficient in technology.

You can register through the links provided on our webpage (A2STEM).
Every time we start a new batch at either of the Techlabs, you will receive an email as per your course option in the registration form, and accordingly you will be added in the respective WhatsApp group for the course update.
You will have some of the most enthusiastic and passionate instructors around. They will work together to empower you, look out for you, and encourage your creative side.
Yes, all of these programs are free of cost and you will be provided with a certificate after you successfully complete the course.
The duration will differ from course to course as different curriculum is set for different programs but the minimum duration for each course will be 4 months.
The classes for the Foundation Courses (also considered as the bridge course) are held 5 to 6 days a week, while as for the level up or advanced courses, the classes are held at least twice a week. Some courses are also offered on the weekends for those who can’t attend on working days.
From 8th grade to PG level, we have something for everyone, to help students develop better understanding about stem technologies and assist in building their better career. We have several valuable courses from Foundation to advanced in various STEM streams. Also, if the student is from a stream other than IT, he/she can also join level up courses after completing the Foundational Course or directly, after appearing for the assessment of the same.
A Foundational Course is a set of sessions where you will get a brief overview of different courses so you can make a wise decision as to which stream you should choose for your level-up course as per your interest. You can join offline classes at either of the A2STEM techlabs on all working days. For those who live at a distance and have access to computers and the internet, these classes are broadcast online simultaneously. For those who are busy during working days in their schools or in colleges, they can join us on weekdays; we are keeping the A2STEM techlabs open 7 days a week.
We have set up the A2STEM Tech Labs at two locations in Srinagar district (Aali Kadal & Gogjibagh) where you can practice offline during the working hours and can complete your assignments.
Yes, all of the sessions are recorded and will be uploaded on our YouTube channel (A2STEM) where a student can watch any of the sessions.
If you are a professional with diverse skills and experience you may join as a volunteer; we have different tasks for everyone. You can register as a Volunteer on the link provided on our webpage (A2STEM).
a) If you have a good grasp over any computer language or on any STEM subjects which are in demand in the job market, and you are willing to spend at least an hour twice a week; you may be a valuable Trainer. We can start a new course for our students, as per your subject expertise.
b) If you know basic editing skills you may help us in editing fliers for our social media or edit video recording of online A2STEM classes, which is uploaded on our YouTube channel (A2STEM).
c) If you have good communication and motivation skills, you may join as a mentor and keep our students motivated.
