Riyaz Bashir is Professor of Medicine and Director of Vascular and Endovascular interventions at Temple university school of medicine in Philadelphia. He is an interventional cardiologist with research interest in catheter-based treatments of acute pulmonary embolism and deep vein thrombosis. He was born and raised in Kashmir and graduated from Government medical College Srinagar. He did his internal medicine residency at Nassau County Medical Center in New York and cardiovascular fellowship at St. Elizabeth Medical center in Boston. He did his interventional cardiology training at Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN. “I became a member of KEI because the mission of this organization resonated with my conviction that quality education not only leads to successful individuals but also to prosperous and vibrant communities”.
